MediaBase

MediaBase is a database application that manages your media collections in an easy-to-use all-in-one environment based on the .NET Framework 3.5.

MediaBase makes it easy to look-up all your books, dvds, videogames, cds and software. You won't be in trouble, not knowing if you already own a particular release or forgetting, who has to return something back, any more.

Have a mobile app that can connect with the desktop app so you can have all your collections on the go. I would love to have this on my Android Phone and I'm sure iOS users feel the same way. Great Program, but needs mobile support.

Improve the HELP menu. There is little information about how to use this application or explanations about the toolbars etc

Got sidetracked while leaving feedback so may have already mentioned the lack of a decent Help menu. sorry if this is the case.

Add the ability to import images for your movies and music collection

I couldn't find any way of adding DVD and music cover slips to the database. If there is a facility to do this make it more obvious. It would also be nice to be able to add fan based images from movies and concert images and others for...

Extend the use to general data and add a scanning facility so that you can add DVD data\storage discs to the database

It would be a more practical solution if you were able to add all DVD storage/data discs to the database. I'd much prefer an all in one solution to having to use two seperate databases for my media and my saved data.

Include the ability to add more categories to the database subjects (i.e. Movies, music, games etc)

there is an arrow below the subject list but it doesn't do anything. Is it possible that you may be adding this facility at some future date?

Add the ability to create new subjects for collections - dolls, stethoscopes, cars, thimbles, whatever people collect, and allow the addition of photograohs of the collected objects

Enable skins to be implemented to improve the look of the GUI - color could be used to categorise the different database subjects (i.e music, movies, books games etc)

Increase the number of languages that the program can be used in - only English, Russian and German available at this time - what about French, Spanish, Deuch, Arabian languages, Far East Languages (and Australian, lol)

Improve the look of the GUI, very dated. (that said, the simple layout does go some way towards redeeming itself)

suggest that you might incorporate some sort of search engine to search for the visual additive on-line if not scanned (ie: Metacrawler, Bing, or whomever)

either have the ability to add from multiple sources for - older (40's 50's - 1800's) items that are collected, and make it user-friendly while applying this upgrade.

Access to the content section should be included in the right hand pane

At present access to information about the content of the movie/music/game etc is hidden. It would be better if you could see the content in the righthand panel below the general imformation panel

Add other categories -- even personal home offices often have 'Magazines' and 'Files'!

Get the Registration process changed with just a Serial Key Unlock with no Internet Connection.

It's nice just to have a serial key unlock as things change in people's lives such as unfore seen bills and such, people do not always have an internet connection. If someone purchase a program it should register and run on their computer...

Either the documentation is very incomplete, or there is no way to get this program to read a disk for information. The program looks - looks - very nice, but if you have to enter information by hand it's completely useless.

have the music section cater for classical music. There is, for example, no field for composer, which is the least one requires.

Not only add a mobile phone facility, but enable the application to be connected to your land line as well. That way you could activate it from your works phone rather than your mobile phone as it's not always possible to use a phone (for example
